Dear Parents and Guardians-
We are pleased to share just a few of our recent adventures in learning with you! We are so grateful for opportunities to use our community connections as an extension of our campus:
Fifth grade students visit with residents at Bay Square
Our students shared their six word memoirs with their friends at Bay Square, and their friends participated in creating their own memoirs to share with our students!
Sixth grade students visit Mt. Apatite to study geology
Our sixth grade geologists identified, collected, and studied rock formations/samples. Thanks to the 6th grade team and all of our parent volunteers for making this trip possible!
Fifth grade and eighth grade buddies contribute to Yarmouth’s Food Pantry
The buddies walked to the Yarmouth Food Pantry to sort and fill the shelves, carrying with them the idea that, “We rise by lifting others!” Our thanks to these students for their commitment to this work, and to our teachers for arranging this learning opportunity, which includes the importance of giving back to our community. We’re grateful to the Yarmouth Food Pantry for the support they provide to the residents of Yarmouth!
October Rotary Recipients
Congratulations to Izzy Gilbert and Annie Vinnakota, October recipients of the HMS/Rotary Recognition award! This recognition is based on growth mindset and the effort/grit/ perseverance demonstrated by HMS students. Izzy and Annie will be honored at the Rotary meeting on October 21!

A reminder that the Yarmouth Education Foundation’s Blue Jean Ball is this Saturday, October 19! Tickets are available on the YEF website. Why buy a ticket?
