Dear Yarmouth High School Families,
A student’s experience at Yarmouth High School is shaped by the people who surround them every day and by the opportunities families have given them by choosing Yarmouth and the schools they will attend. Open House is a chance to see those opportunities, visit the classrooms where students spend their days, and meet the teachers, advisors, coaches, counselors, and support staff who help make them possible.
YHS Open House - Tuesday - September 15, 2026
6:00 PM – The evening will begin in the YPAC with a short presentation highlighting some of the structures, opportunities, and initiatives at YHS this year, including Flex Time, attendance, AI expectations, the School Success Plan, the Schedule Committee, the Compass Project, Homecoming, and other opportunities ahead.
6:30 PM – Families will meet with their student’s advisor to connect, hear important grade-level information, review the schedule, and get oriented to the evening.
6:50 PM – Families will follow their student’s mini-schedule and visit their Blue and White classes. Each class will be 10 minutes. Teachers will introduce themselves, share what students will learn, talk about what helps students be successful, and explain how families can communicate with them throughout the year.
Throughout the evening – Student Ambassadors will be available to help families navigate the building and find their classrooms.
With just 10 minutes in each class, teachers will focus on sharing the information that is most important for families to know. Open House is designed to give families a broad overview of their student’s experience. Individual questions or concerns about a student are best addressed directly with the teacher at another time.
Most importantly, Open House is about relationships. It is about making connections, strengthening relationships, seeing the spaces where your students spend their days, and having conversations that will help students have a successful year.
As a gentle reminder, connecting with other Yarmouth families is an important part of the evening. With limited parking available, consider carpooling with another Yarmouth family. It is a great way to connect before the evening even begins.
See you Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
Relentlessly Positive,
Robert Cody
