Today we celebrate our School Lunch Heroes!

Ready for our Spring Jazz Night!

Internet is back up and running at all schools in Yarmouth. We should be good to go on all cylinders tomorrow morning. Enjoy the evening!

Yarmouth School Department has lost internet access due to a contractor on West Elm Street cutting a fiber cable. We will likely be without service for the day. If you are attempting to reach us through the internet, our response will be delayed.

Thank you to Terry Stackhouse, WMTW anchor/reporter, for kicking off our Career Day with an engaging keynote presentation!

Thank you to the Yarmouth Education Foundation for supporting our Robotics Team with a spring grant! On a related note, we are so proud of our Robotics Team (pictured here is the team headed to the VEX World Championship next week) and their coach, Jay Harrington!

HMS poets had a great time at today's Spring Poetry KaBaam!

Our 7th graders are excited to be learning archery in Physical Education class with Mr. Skilling!

Our students did a wonderful job at our Spirit Week Assembly today! We heard from Michelle Hayes of the Yarmouth Food Pantry, celebrated our Robotics Teams, and played Rock, Paper, Scissors. A fun way to wrap up our Spirit Week as a whole school community!

HMS student leaders are participating in a training focused on speaking up at school with the Holocaust and Human Rights Center!

Sunday's performances of "Almost, Maine" by the YHS Playmakers have been cancelled due to power outages, fallen trees around YHS, and dangerous sidewalk and parking lot conditions. We will keep you informed of any updates.

What's a great way to start the day? Reading in our library!

ALERT UPDATE: The young ladies who were reported missing earlier this evening have been located and are now returning safely to their families. Thank you all for your concern and assistance.

It is almost time for our students' performance of A Girl Called Opal! Showtimes are at 2 PM and 7 PM today. Come join us!

HMS welcomed several medical professionals to our classrooms today as students engaged in hands-on learning about the heart.

Seventh-grader Lily Kew's artwork has been selected for the Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Portland Museum of Art! You are encouraged to visit the museum to see Lily's piece on display. Congratulations, Lily!

HMS 7th graders are eager to help those arriving to donate blood during the Red Cross Blood Drive.

The seventh-grade class at Frank H. Harrison Middle School in Yarmouth is hosting a community blood drive on Wednesday, March 13 from 2:30-7:30 PM.
If you can donate blood please register at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive (enter the zip code 04096) or online at https://www.redcross.org/give-blood.html.

Thank you to all of the guest readers from our community who shared their reading journeys and favorite texts with HMS students this morning. Read Across Yarmouth was a rousing success!

Congratulations to 8th Grader, Max Miller, this year's recipient of the 2024 Steingart Music Education Award. With this award comes a $1000.00 grant for Max to use toward musical lessons and pursuits. Congratulations, Max!
