November Menu

November's harvest of the month is Maine Brassicas! Brassicas are a family of plants that includes kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, mustard greens, kohlrabi, and more! Did you know the spicy taste in mustard and horseradish is the result of an evolutionary battle with cabbage butterflies, and individual taste perception of bitterness can be genetic?
