Captain's Crew is hosting a donation drive to support the efforts of Maine Needs! We are collecting diapers, wipes, books (new or gently used) and gift cards. They set a goal to collect 100 items. We are only half way through and we are already blown away by the generosity of our community! Thank you!

Mighty Reader will visit each kindergarten classroom to inspire our young readers as they start their journey toward becoming Super Readers. Mighty Reader will remind students of one superpower they already have, Pointer Power, or the ability to give each word on the page one tap. Mighty Reader will leave behind a special tool for their next reading superpower, Slider Power. Slider power is the ability to slide through the sounds of a word and blend them back together.
